Greatest American Dog Show – Episode 6

So when we last left off, the house had just lost Brandy and Beacon leaving the door wide open for Travis and Laura to start getting more and more flirtatious without having the potential of a Tonya Harding kneecap take down on Laura.  JD was even giving Travis a hard time about “getting her number” after the show is over….. If this was Big Brother we’d be heading towards some grainy video footage from the Dog Bone Suite!

The episode revolved around doggie IQ and intelligence and according to Beth Joy she has had Bella Starlet tested and declares him very smart.  However, Bill and Star actually earn the right to the suite and in a payback for last week’s episode let’s Teresa and Leroy take the suite.  This time was certainly less emotional than Bill getting to see photos of his family.

Best in Show stays on the intelligence theme and the dogs are put to painting a picture that represents the bond between pet and owner.   The show is called Salvador Doggy!

We get another Leg Up for winning the Dog Bone Challenge and Teresa gets the good fortune to work with the famed Dog Art Instructor Kirsten McMillan.  As stated by our gracious host Jarod Miller introducing the animal trainer with years of experience, and “in fact she even teaches dogs how to paint!”

Beth Joy (who happens to admit to being a Seinfeld’s Elaine Benes impersonator in real life) is proud of her little “Pawcaso”.

Laura struggles to pull off her grand vision and fails big time getting it done.  Judge Wendy Diamond stops the presentation to say “I have to be honest .. this sucks” .. NOW things get fun!

Trying to defend her art work she immediately throws Beth Joy under the bus by claiming that she was hurting Bella Starlet in the process of them doing their own painting.  This is the first time that the contestants have watched the proceedings from the green room on TV so they all could see what was happening!  OOOH…. theres going to be a throwdown

Upon returning to the green room, Beth Joy confronts Laura with a “would you like to explain your call out?”

Laura retorts with an “I’m not going to fight with you … it’s really not worth it!” … but fails to convince anyone of her motives as they all look awkwardly on.

During the final segment the judges ask Beth Joy about the accusations and she proclaims Laura’s comments a “pathetic attempt on her part to distract from her faults on her painting” … THEN Travis jumps in to be the good guy and defends Beth Joy from Laura’s accusations … DAGGERS fly from Laura’s eyes and that’s the end of that.  No Dog Bone Suite for you buster …..

Laura and Preston are expelled so no more flirting and Travis and his commitment issues live to fight another day … what now?
